Plug and play protocol:
• DHCP, dynamic host configuration protocol helps hosts in assigning IP addresses.
• This protocol connects a host to a network. A host may receive the same IP address every time they login or may be assigned with a temporary IP address for every access, this is managed by the network administrator by configuring the DHCP protocol.
• This method of configuring a host to a network by DHCP is called as plug and play. This way of automatic configuration is known as zero configuration.
