All packets will have a fixed threshold in order for the packet to be accepted and played out.

• For the packet to be played, it should arrive within the fixed threshold.

• Any packet that is received within the fixed threshold is considered and is played out.

• Any packet that is received after the fixed threshold cannot be played out.

Hence, the packets that arrive after their scheduled playout times are discarded and considered lost.
