Farmers must adopt new methods of farming in order to reduce costs associated with the manual farm processes and maximise the profit generated from the farm output. This can only be achieved if the farm processes are made more efficient. Adoption of technology in farming is one way of doing this. Monoculture or conservative farming, Pest control, Genetic manipulation, Irrigation and Fertilizer application are all processes enabled by technology to increase efficiency in farming.
