The number of breakdowns X has a binomial distribution which can be approximated by the Pn(λ)

distribution with λ = 2000 × 0.0004 = 0.8. Hence P(X = 0) ≈ 0.4493 and P(X ≥ 2) = 1 − P(X ≤ 1) ≈ 1 − 0.8088 = 0.1912.
