Multiprotocol Label Switching(MPLS):
• MPLS is a switching technique which is used in improving the forwarding speed of the IP routers by using a fixed length label which is useful in virtual circuit networks.
• It selectively labels the datagrams and then allows the routers to forward them based on fixed length labels.
• The MLPS header is added between the layer-2 and layer-3 headers for all the MPLS capable devices.
