Syntax analysis is the second phase of the compiler, which comes after the lexical analysis. It takes the token produced by the lexical analysis as input and then uses this received input to generate a parse tree. A parse tree can also be called a syntax tree, this tree checks to see if expressions made by the tokens are syntactically correct.
